Coming up with possible ideas for engraving the wedding rings. In addition to the standard Hebrew "I am my beloved's and she is mine" I am borrowing ideas from the Carmina Burana. I particularly like "totus floreo, totus ardeo." Perhaps we'll also delve into opera? Who knows? This is turning out to be more fun than I thought it would be.
So that's that. I realized that I could indeed have a shower in DC and reasonably expect about 8 people to show up to it. But whatever. Life is too short to worry about stuff like that.
Once again I am bizarrely cold in this office. I want to go get lunch, but I'm waiting for 20 minutes because I want to hear Britten's Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra, which is coming on in a couple minutes. I plan on getting my nephews the NPR Peter and the Wolf: A Special Report CD. This also has YPGO and Carnival of the Animals on it. I think they will like it, but perhaps their mother won't. Or perhaps she just won't like the fact that I got it for them.
