kings and old houses 2002-06-07 - 1:33 p.m. Oh, oh, oh, totus floreo iam amore virginali totus ardeo novus novus novus amor est quo pereo! Dulcissime, totam tibi subdo me! Enough semi-pornographic Latin poetry! Life is real good in Wealhtheow-land. We now have airfare to SF for the wedding. In somewhat more exciting and infinitely more narcissitic news, my voice is getting more flexible and more agile every week! The Pilates is really helping every part of my body. I'm excited to start working with some new material. Part of me (okay, most of me) is glad that FCS is out for the summer, but there's definitely a part of me that misses being so active in music, even if I'm only off for a couple of months. Next summer, if I can take the time, I definitely want to do the Berkshire Choral Festival. I'd love to start getting into some opera workshops, but I don't think I have the qualifications for that yet. Maybe in a couple of years. I'd love to get the opportunity to do more solo singing, but I know that's still perhaps at least 5 years away. Still, the difference I've seen after one year with W (the VT) is really amazing, so I hold out hope for the future. Going to see a Tchaikovsky concert next Thursday. I think it will be a lot of fun. I hope so, at least. I'm not a huge fan of T, but they're doing the 1812 Overture with canons, and R. will like it. We're going with E. and G. Going up to PA this weekend for my uncle's wedding. It will be lots of fun. Die Entfuehrung aus dem Serail (The Abduction From the Seraglio). Which Mozart Opera Does Your Life Most Resemble? brought to you by Quizilla |
